The flight over to Singapore wasn’t too bad. I think because it was a night flight and I could get some sleep, it passed the time quicker. Unfortunately the TV was broken and I couldn’t watch any films which was a bugger! Watch out Singapore Airlines, I’ll be complaining! So I got to the airport in one piece and Alex met me at the gate which was an massive suprise! We’re now just waiting for our next flight. It’s getting very exciting now! Woop Woop!
In the mean time, I’m going to head over to the free Xbox Live Arena and kick some little kids ass! (in cyberspace not real life..)

Why am I paying £60 per month to go to a dingy gym which has a swimming pool (which I have never used!)t? I decided to go for a run with Will after work and it was pretty gruelling as I hadn’t done any sort of excercise for 2 weeks. You can see below the route we took and it was really interesting. We passed through St. Pauls, Millenium Bridge and London Bridge. The whole route was about 6.5 km and we did it in about 38mins. Pretty slow I know but I don’t think I’ve ever run that long in one go so you’ve got to start somewhere!!! Had a shower and now my legs are feeling a bit wobbly! Hopefully I’ll sleep it off but we’ll see how they feel in the morning. Maybe I’ll need to take a taxi! We’ll see!

Well as everyone has now heard, 4 separate bombs were set off on Thursday morning during the morning rush hour where as many as 50 people tragically lost their lives. It’s a very sad and strange thing to happen in a city where you live. Especially when these happen just on your doorstep. Anyway, we can’t let these things phase us and beat us. We have to be strong and continue with our everyday lives. If we live in fear we don’t live our lives to the full.

Walked into work this morning thinking that it was going to be a normal day at the office. Nothing happend much on my way to work passing St. Paul’s Cathedral and traffic was normal… Got into the office and half the people were missing. First it was train’s being delayed in the south, then there was a “bang” in the Aldgate tube station, then my friend rang me saying he was stuck in stockwell and the tube station had closed and he has to get a bus, then there was an exploding bus, then the whole tube network was shutdown and then my friend rang me again saying he was chucked off the bus… (take 5 secs to breath!). What is going on? It’s early days at the moment but will report back with full story later!

So it was my bday bash on Friday. It was really nice to see Ally on the Thursday for my day but the Friday was the night to get drunk. It began about 8pm at The Poet on Folgate St . Jimbo, Chris, Willy, Ally, Micheal and Becs cam along. We got a bit tipsy and before we knew it, we decided that we should eat at La Tasca. We got there about 20 minutes before closing time but hurried the order through by just ordering 3 of almost everything on the menu. We were meant to head to 333 aftyer, but due the obscence amounts of food we had, it an unfortunate detour to home. All in all though, it was a really nice night out with all my buddies especially with Ally being there!!!

It’s a small world out there as proven last night when I went out in Fulham. One of my work collegue’s housemate works with my housemate (Chris). Another one of her housemate’s also kinda knows Chris through some random accomodation logistics when he just started work in London. They both ended up living in tempory accomodation before finding proper places to stay. Then the final “small world” comment of the evening ended that same person knew one of mates from High School where they both played hockey at Warwick University. What a crazy world we live in!!! Anyway, it was a really good night out in Embargos and ended up dying on the sofa at about 3am! I’ve got a really sore neck this morning…

Work had some spare tickets to go and see Queen on Tour at the Wembley Arena Pavillion. Pretty good night out. 5 other work collegues joined me and we had a nice champagne reception, 4 course meal, seats near the front and then an aftershow party!!! Not bad at all. Pictures to follow…
[Edit] - As promised some photos I took from my phone
