Please donate!
Saturday, March 25th, 2006All,
A big request to anyone that reads my blog:
Everybody seems to be in the charity/fundraising mood recently and now it’s time for me to jump onto the bandwagon. I would like you special people to contribute a small donation to a charity called VSO (Voluntary Service Overseas) where volunteers work together with local communities to fight poverty and achieve lasting change.
I’ll be taking part in the 3 Yorkshire Peaks Challenge on 1st April, where I will be taken through a gruelling 25 mile walk, climbing over 1,670 meters across 3 of Yorkshire’s highest peaks all in under 12 hours! Amazing hey?
My aim of raising only £150 seems very small but with a number of people doing this challenge we are hoping to get a large combined contribution for VSO. Obviously, if I raise more than my target it would be greatly benefitial to this worthy charity!
HOW DO I DONATE?
- Please go to http://www.justgiving.com/3YorkshirePeaksChallenge
- Enter the amount to you would like to donate and please make sure you add a comment refering to my initials, e.g. SML - Good Luck on walk (This site is being used by all participants, so we need a way of identifying where the donations are coming from).
So why wait? Donate now and feel safe in the knowledge that you’ll be putting me through pain while climbing these peaks next weekend (…and that you’ll feel warm and fuzzy inside for doing something good)!
Remember: If you are a taxpayer, please ensure you select the Gift Aid checkbox when you place your donation. This will ensure that an extra 28% is added to your donation by the Inland Revenue at no extra cost to you.

Thanks in advance who has donated!
