Well this weekend is Bank Holiday weekend and you know what that means… An extra day to have fun! Our house took full advantage of this and I started early! After work on Friday, I went for some drinks and it ended up being a bit messy as Chris discovered when he got home at 3am. I can’t remember falling asleep and Chris found me fully clothed with the radio and tv blaring! For some reason I woke up at 4am and decided to brush my minging teeth but then I couldn’t get back to bed so ended watch early monrning TV. One thing I bet most of you didn’t know what that Channel Five using Sky News at 5am for an hour!

Anyway, back to main event. The house booked tickets well in advanced for the TDK Cross Central to avoid any sort of dissapointment. After watching an critical 4th Test Cricket Match (which was nail biting!), we headed for King’s Cross @ 6.30am. There was a constant stream of people heading for this event and while security was tight, when we were inside they were pretty helpful and reserved. I won’t go into every minor detail of the event but below are some of the highlights:

- Killa Kela: Excellent beatboxer

- Soul II Soul: Outstanding session!

- DJ Format: Brilliant MC-ing

- Dan Greenpeace: Bringing back RnB and Hip Hop into fashion!

- Juliet: Cool. Some she was in the Soul II Soul crowd and DJ Format standing in front of us and then start dancing with us! When it was her turn on the stage she walk in to the crowd while she sang and again started to dance with us!

- secretsundaze: caught the last part of Steve Bug’s set

- the cross: an excellent set by Jamie Jones

- Mylo: Fantastic 2 hour set which finished at 4am!

So it finished at 6am exiting the event to daylight was very weird. Tube, cup of tea and off to bed. Tomorrow is carnival day. Woohoo!

Woohoo! Although I’ve now had my PSP for about 3 months and still find it amazing, I was a bit of an idiot updating the firmware to v1.52. Reason… well it meant I couldn’t play any of the Homebrew games or run any new apps but I wasn’t really all that bothered because EA FIFA 2005 and Coded Arms has kept me entertained in between work and sleep (oh and eating!). So today was pretty exciting when PSP v2.0 was release today. One of the main new features is that the PSP now includes a Internet Browser which is very cool and with a screen like that it makes surfing very enjoyable! So if you guys who made the same mistake as me and upgraded to v1.51 or higher then you might aswell make the jump! Go for it!

Today was a sad day, my watch broke I’ve had that watch for quite a long time. Alex got it for me almost 3 years ago for a present and now it’s dead! Rest In Peace Presto Watch. I’ll miss you! WOuld I dare replace you with the exact same watch or be a bit adventurous and get something different… ooh decisions decisions! I’m liking the look of those new Nike iD watches where you can even put your own name on them.

Well, the rock climbing itself hasn’t gone to plan, but this weekend I did manage to walk up the highest mountain in Wales and England. Yes, I conquered Mt Snowdon! This is in aid of the Kilamanjaro Challenge and also a good chance for some of the guys to experience how one of the days climb may feel like. I decided to tag along to also get some practice in but also to meet some new people. Of course there was a couple of the usual Start Group there but I managed to get to know some other people from work. It was by coincidence that the majority of the guys also went to Chicago at the same time as I did! Anyway, we travelled up on the train on Saturday afternoon and arrived in Llanberis early evening in time for some traditional Welsh cuisine… Fish and Chips!!! After that it was time to the pub and then an early one in time for Match Of The Day (MOTD) and ready for the days walk up the beast! Unfortunately, I didn’t get a good nights sleep and only got about 3 hours kip! The next morning was an early start meeting up at 8.30am and stocking up at CostCutters with supplies. Then it was time for the climb and we decided to take the Llanberis Path. The weather was just right with a slight breeze but nice and bright. The first half of the walk was pretty hot but as we headed nearer to the top we begin to enter mist and it started to get a bit more chilly. I ended having to wear my waterproofs and ski hat! After a two and a half hour climb we made it to the top but unfortunately the view was not too good. There were some spells where the cloud broke and we could see the ground for a split second but no time for a decent picture. After a nice lunch break, certificates were presented to us by Virginia for conquering the mountiain! We then started to make the decent. Suprisingly it took about the same time to head down to the bottom and definately put a lot more strain on my thighs and ankles. When we got to the bottom, it was a quick pit stop at the hotel and briskfully headed for the train station in Bangor for out mammoth trip back to London! I ended sleeping most of the way back. I made it back home at 9.30pm to catch the last half of Lost and then had a nice soak in the bath! Hmmm…

Next thing is completing the Three Peaks Challenge in 3 Months. I know this is a bit lame because you’re meant to do it in a day but you’ve got to start somewhere!

It’s all about outdoor activities… Chris and I went to Swinley Forest again in Bracknell to test out Chris’ new Scott Tampico on the runs. I hired a bike from Wellington Trek at the Look Out Point and headed into the forest. We spent the whole afternoon there with hardly anyone else in sight! There was some pretty hairy stuff a moments and I wouldn’t consider myself a pro or even experienced! At one point I had two legs in the air and I was totaly out of control! Anyway it was a brilliant day and convinced myself to now get myself a bike!

22 August 2005 - I’ve now won a Dimond Back Zetec 4.2 from eBay. I can’t wait till I get it!

I know you are all thinking “not another beggar!” but yes it is one of those… but this is not for me. Rather than me explaining what it is, I’ve copied out the intro section from the Kilimanjaro Challenge Website.

Kilimanjaro Challenge is a charity project set up by Accenture employees to raise money for African citizens who are affected by HIV/AIDS. By offering 25 Accenture employees the opportunity to climb Africa’s biggest mountain, we are hoping that our efforts will go some way to raising desperately needed funding for one of Africa’s biggest problems. This trek is organised in association with the charity VSO and we are supporting RAISA (Regional Aids Initiative of Southern Africa); a four-year initiative of VSO seeking to strengthen the response to the HIV/AIDS pandemic in Southern Africa.

All I ask from you is to raise £100 via this website by clicking on the “Make a donation” button on the top of the sidebar and donate as little as £1. You can donate via PayPal or directly to Charlotte Connatty who is actually doing the climb. Unfortunately, I am unable to make it on the Challenge but I hope you find it in your heart to give some spare change… not that I’m trying to make you feel guilty…

This is a nice little place to take your other half for a nice relaxing weekend. Stapleford Park is located very near Melton Mowbray. I had a nice Black Tie event here and played some golf the next day. Although the course is pretty new (built in 2001), it’s was very pleasent with the greens and fairways kept to a high standard. In about 5-10 years (once it has matured a bit) this course will be an exciting one to play so keep an eye on ;)!

What an exciting day… Sunday morning at 9.00am at Paddington the atmosphere was busy full of Gooners and Blues fans heading to Cardiff for the first official match against two Premier League side before the new season starts! When we got to Cardiff, I couldn’t believe the amount of fans that had travelled from London to see this match! It was like a sea of blue on one side of the city and a sea of maroon on the other! I’m not going to talk much about the match but I will say that the Millenium Stadium is a magnificent venue to hold any sort of event. The views from any of the seats are spectacular and atmosphere was pumping! Anyway, Arsenal lost but they were definately the better side. The skill shown on the pitch was unbelievable and they were running circle round Lampard and Terry! Man of the Match for me was Freddie Lungberg due to his sheer passion and determination to win every single ball (and successful did so) Getting back to London wasn’t so much of a nightmare as “the Milton Keynes and the Green Day Concert” hooha! We still had to wait for about an hour before getting on to a train and they crammed us in like cattle! But we ended up in Paddington 2 hours later which wasn’t so bad!

how good is this? Deliverance is a not just any Delivery Take Away Service. It’s a company that provides cuisines from all corners of the Earth… from India to Japan, Italian to Thai, etc… While Chris was out with Toby in Barcelona, Will and I thought it was the most appropriate time to give this a try and we decided to go for the Deliverance Summer BBQ! For £25 (free delivery by the way) and to a time we specified. We agreed to go for a run to make us feel less guity for the amount of calories we were going to eat. After the hour run, we stopped off at the Off License to stock up on beverages which totally cancelled out our “healthy” approach to a Saturday night before heading back home. No more than waiting 5 mins at home our food arrived! It came in a nicely branded box and included nicely branded cutlery, plates and napkins. For our 25 quid it included a disposable BBQ, burgers, skewered chicken and salmon, lots of salad and then for pudding Chocolate Banana (white chocolate was lush!)! There was loadsa food and I could justify spending that amount of money on a Saturday evening outside our balcony almost setting the Barbican on fire!

Fancy a smash or two?… or two million?!!! I can’t beleive it! These two who earn about twice as much as me are back at home before me after work and at it again! It now 10pm and they’re still playing! Are they obsessed or am I obsessed about them being obsessed about playing Super Smash Bros Melee? Ahhhh!! I’m going crazy!
