This is the reverse bungy, I’m sure you’ve seen them before - three of you sit in a cage which is then launched into the air! I really enjoyed it and you got such a great view over the city.

I was feeling brave after my attempt at trapeze so I decided, or rather was talked into trying reverse bungy. I was absolutely terrified (as you can see from the photo taken before we went on).

On Saturday night I went to a chocolate buffet at the Fullerton Hotel. Anyone who visits Singapore should definitely try it! There was a chocolate fountain which you put fruit and and marshmallows into (as you can see in the photo). There was also lots and lots of different chocolate deserts and about 20 varieties of hot chocolate just to top it all off. My waist line is rapidly expanding!

At sentosa i tried to do trapeze. It was actually quite scary having to jump off but really good fun!

We went to the beach this weekend. It was at a place called sentosa which is an island just off the south coast of singapore. You get there by cable car.

At the chinese gardens there were hundreds and hundreds of lanterns shaped like animals. It was absolutely amazing!

I visited the chinese gardens last week. It was the mid autumn festival and so to celebrate there was a lantern safari. This is me on the bridge at the entrance to the gardnens.

This is me with Helena and Jean, they are also on their electives. They’re from King’s in london. Helena is actually from Brunei and Jean was born in Singapore. You can see the Merlion in the background - this is the national emblem of Singapore and has the head of a lion and the body of a fish.

There’s an outbreak of dengue in Singapore at the moment. There are about 500 new cases each week and there are 5 children with it on the ward i’m on. It’s carried by mosquitos and can be very serious so i’m using lots and lots of insect repellent.
